Like Reformer John Knox of Scotland , let’s grab the thresholds of heaven: Give us Austin-area-land or we die! In response to Knox's imprecatory prayers, Mary Queen of Scots is reputed to have said: "I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe." They will soon be saying that about you, intercessor! Oh! men and brethren, what would this heart feel if I could but believe that there were some among you who would go home and pray for a revival - men whose faith is large enough, and their love fiery enough to lead them from this moment to exercise unceasing intercessions that God would appear among us and do wondrous things here, as in the times of former generations. - C.H. Spurgeon History: Since February 2, 2002 we have had regional prayer gatherings to intercede for spiritual awakening, or revival (as the case may be) in Austin Metro. This spiritual- awakening-catalytic project has continued on the first Saturday of every month, 8: 00AM, at different locations (Churches) in the Austin area till date. We have seen some pastors, intercessors, prayer leaders, worshippers and indeed several believers that foresee or have heard the sound of God’s soon-coming abundance of rain in the region. This is one out of other prayer movements in the City, but we are a sort of BRDGE that foster genuine collaborations in the Church. United Prayers: This meeting is not political, but a kingdom gathering—a time to come before God’s presence in honest unity, reconciliation and desperation to intercede for our City, among different streams of believers from different ethnos or ethnicity, denominations and prayer styles and convictions. The common denominator is that these folks all love Jesus and His kingdom in the earth. We pray for open heaven and might spiritual awakening in the City. We pray for the Church and Church leaders or elders; and people/s, marketplace and land of the Austin area. These prayers are orchestrating a lighter spiritual climate that ushers in the glory of God in the region. We are complementing what has been invested in the heavens over the year for Austin . This information my personal appeal to you to prayerfully consider participating in the next Citywide Prayer Gathering on Feb, 2 March 4, May 6, June 3, July 1,Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4and Dec. 2, 2006, 8:00 AM at the Glory House Christian Center , Austin . Also, prayerfully consider supporting this prayer project and other prayer/evangelistic adventures in the City. I believe that God is up to something in this nation and in particular, this region. So, this is a call to prayers. I have no doubt, you can help. …and continues to be 1st Saturday of every month.
